Step over the rules, Kuwu Wangunharja is determined to build a road using bailout funds

Cirebon, Controversinews | The development of village infrastructure should be the top priority of the village government in encouraging progress equally for the realization of the welfare of the community. This also applies in all areas of Cirebon Regency, including Wangunharja Village, Jamblang District.

However, the steps taken by Kuwu Wangunharja, Sunanto, actually reaped a question mark. The reason, Sunanto has carried out village road improvement activities with a budget ceiling of Rp 98,000,000,- as stated in the submission of banprov, even though until now the funds have not been disbursed by the government.

In a confirmation conducted by the media crew at the Wangunharja Village Office on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 16.00 WIB, Sunanto admitted that the road improvement activities in the Kertayasa Block had been carried out. He said, the source of funds used came from private bailout funds on the grounds of the insistence of residents who were worried about the rainy season, especially the area was known as a flood -prone area.

According to the village foreman explanation, Hadi, the road improvement work was carried out in the Kertayasa Block RW 02 and RW 03 with a length of 188 meters and a width of 2.5 meters.

However, when traced further regarding coordination with village officials and sub -districts, Sunanto openly admitted that the activity was not known by both parties. That was because he immediately involved a third party to implement the project on the grounds that the village did not have experts in the construction sector.

Great questions arise: How can a village ahead of government policy without official coordination, reporting, or minutes of activities (BAK), while the related budget has not been disbursed?

This case raises the polemic which is now in the spotlight, waiting for responses from related parties at the sub-district and district government levels. (M)
