Brass, ControversyNews | The widespread news regarding the arrest of one of the Kuningan Regional Government (Pemda) officials by the West Java Regional Police caused a stir among the public.
The official with the initials AP, who is known to serve as one of the Service Secretaries (Sekdis) within the Kuningan Regional Government, was arrested by the West Java Regional Police in connection with the East Ring Road (JLT) construction case. This arrest immediately sparked reactions from various parties, including the Kuningan Regency Joint Forum of Mass Organizations & NGOs (FKGOL).
On Monday (10/11/2025) at the FKGOL Secretariat, the Chair of the Kuningan Barracks, Kang Nana Rusdiana, S.IP, expressed his concern about the case.
“We are concerned about the arrest and detention of one of the Secretariat. This is a warning and a strong warning for Kuningan Regional Government officials to be careful in carrying out the mandate of their office,” he said.
According to Kang Nana, the information his party has received so far strengthens the suspicion that Kuningan’s condition is being seriously monitored by various parties.
“From eight WTPs, suddenly it dropped to WDP. Kuningan, which previously looked cool, is now hot and in the public spotlight. In fact, the information is that Kuningan Caang is on ‘Merah Putih’ monitoring by the Corruption Eradication Committee because there are old reports that have not been followed up,” he explained.
He also touched on the South Ring Road project, which was said to be problematic in the land acquisition process.
“It is suspected that there were many irregularities, because the land was purchased with APBD funds and the road route was diverted three times. What is this, and who owns the land that was released?” asked Kang Nana.
Now, with AP’s arrest in connection with the East Ring Road case, FKGOL believes that this could be an entry point to reveal the alleged involvement of other parties.
“We suspect that AP is not alone. Corruption is usually structured and massive, especially as this is a national program. So, we ask the West Java Regional Police investigators to develop this case so that it can become clear. If there are other officials involved, arrest and detain them too – don’t be selective,” he stressed.
FKGOL expressed its full support for law enforcement officials (APH) in eradicating criminal acts of corruption in Kuningan Regency.
“It is time for the corruptors in Kuningan to be locked up. This is no longer the time for anti-corruption outreach, but for real action to cleanse the bureaucracy of corrupt elements,” concluded Kang Nana.
He also closed with appreciation to the West Java Regional Police:
“Great! We appreciate the West Java Regional Police’s steps. Continue and develop this AP case so that Kuningan is truly free from corruption.”
