Cirebon City Government Encourages Scouts to Become a Stronghold of Morals and Innovation for the Young Generation

Cirebon , Controversy news, Com. – Deputy Mayor of Cirebon, Siti Farida Rosmawati, emphasized that the development of the Scout Movement must leave the zone of formality. This was conveyed when attending the 13th Cirebon City Scout Movement Branch Conference (Muscab), Friday (21/11/2025). According to him, Scouting is not just a ceremonial activity, but must exist as a character school that equips generations with ethics, morals and life skills.

“Of course, we all understand that this Branch Conference is not just a routine organizational agenda. Scout development must be more than a formality. Involve technology, introduce relevant soft skills, and encourage innovation based on local Cirebon wisdom. This is about preparing the Golden Generation 2045 who is strong, intelligent and has noble character,” he said.

This 13th Muscab is a momentum for evaluating the performance of the Cirebon City Scout Movement for the last five years. This highest forum at branch level discusses program achievements, outreach to future groups, and the relevance of coaching methods to the challenges of today’s generation. The Deputy Mayor emphasized the importance of an in-depth review of existing programs so that future steps are more focused and effective.

Apart from evaluation, Muscab is also an arena for formulating strategic directions for the next five years. The Deputy Mayor reminded the need for programs that not only strengthen character, but also integrate digital literacy, locally based entrepreneurship and environmental awareness. The Scout Movement must become a moral and ethical bulwark amidst the rapid flow of information which sometimes obscures good values.

In his direction, the Deputy Mayor emphasized the importance of innovation in coaching, including the use of technology and strengthening soft skills that are relevant to the world of work. According to him, Scout activities can be maximized to promote tourism, support MSMEs, and strengthen the identity of the local wisdom of Cirebon City.

“That way, students will not only be competent in character, but also ready to face economic and social challenges,” he said.

It is hoped that this Muscab will be the starting point for strategic decisions that will take the Cirebon City Scout Movement in a more progressive direction and have a real impact on society. The Deputy Mayor emphasized that unity, responsibility and clear goals must be the foundation of every decision.

“This deliberation must become a resolution and real action. Let’s carry it out with full responsibility, prioritize unity, and focus on one goal: advancing the Scout Movement and the City of Cirebon,” he concluded.

The mainstay of West Java’s Binamuda Kwarda, Eka Novianto, was present to provide motivating guidance to the Scout administrators and members. According to him, this program must be able to lead the Scout Movement to become an organization that saves future generations.

“Our task is to educate and develop students, because they are our assets in the future. Let’s formulate a program that will be implemented with the extraordinary potential we have,” he said.
