Cirebon , Controversy news, Com. – The Cirebon City Government welcomes new energy from young entrepreneurs who have been officially appointed as administrators of the BPC HIPMI Cirebon City for the 2025–2028 Service Period. In the midst of rapidly shifting economic and technological trends, the City Government is looking forward to the presence of fresh breakthroughs from HIPMI to encourage superior regional products to move up in class, from batik to culinary and crafts, so that they can penetrate wider markets, including export markets.
Deputy Mayor of Cirebon, Siti Farida Rosmawati, who attended the activity expressed her appreciation and great hopes for the new HIPMI management. He added that the presence of the City Government at this moment is a form of full support for the role of the young generation as the driving force of the regional economy.
“On behalf of the Cirebon City Government, I convey congratulations and success on the inauguration of the Cirebon City BPC HIPMI Management for the 2025-2028 Service Period. This is a new chapter which confirms that the entrepreneurial spirit in Cirebon City has never died out,” he said, Saturday (22/11/2025).
The Deputy Mayor reminded that the City of Cirebon is currently in the flow of global economic competition which continues to change. With its strategic geographical position and large economic potential, according to him, HIPMI has an important role in optimizing these opportunities. He stated that the City Government was looking forward to HIPMI’s breakthrough to elevate Cirebon’s superior products to a higher level.
“Young entrepreneurs are the most agile agents of change, especially in innovation and digitalization,” he said.
He emphasized that the borderless digital market now opens up equally large opportunities for local business actors. Apart from the MSME sector, it is also believed that the potential for a creative economy based on local culture can grow more dynamically with the involvement of HIPMI, from digital startups to the tourism industry.
“We hope that HIPMI friends will become a bridge for batik, culinary and typical Cirebon crafts so that they can compete and increase uptake in the international market,” he said.
The Deputy Mayor also said that HIPMI has the power to create an inclusive economic ecosystem. According to him, the existence of HIPMI is able to reach more young people through training and mentoring which gives birth to new entrepreneurs.
“Of course, all of these efforts must run on a strategic partnership with the City Government. We need constructive and critical input from HIPMI in formulating investment-friendly and pro-MSME policies,” he added.
On this occasion, he also welcomed the signing of the MoU between HIPMI and a number of strategic partners, including JNE, Medimas, RRI, and Bentani and other partners. This collaboration is said to be a reflection of the way modern business works which prioritizes synergy. He advised the General Chairperson of BPC HIPMI Cirebon City, Hiysam Suleiman, and the management, to make this management period a golden period of cross-sector collaboration.
On the other hand, the Cirebon City Government emphasized its commitment to continue to speed up and simplify the business licensing process, in order to ensure a more conducive investment climate. “Remember, a young entrepreneur is the economic hero of the future. We believe that in the hands of the HIPMI administrators, the economy of Cirebon City will be more advanced, resilient and competitive,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of BPC HIPMI Cirebon City, Hisyam Suleiman, said that this new management would be a common home for young entrepreneurs from various backgrounds.
“HIPMI is open to all. There are those working in the legal sector, there are digital creators, there are service sector entrepreneurs. We are not focused on project-based businesses; the most important thing is the spirit of development,” he said.
Hisyam also emphasized HIPMI’s commitment to building strong collaboration with all stakeholders. He wants HIPMI to become a bridge between entrepreneurs, government and investors so that more opportunities come to Cirebon City.
“At HIPMI anyone can develop—become an entrepreneur, academic, even politician. The important thing is to keep the fire alive, don’t let it go out,” he concluded.
