Cirebon City Wins 2025 Swasti Saba Wiwerda Award

CIREBON, Kontroversinews,Com- Cirebon City won the Healthy City award in the Swasti Saba Wiwerda category at the 2025 Healthy Regency/City (KKS) and Community-Based Total Sanitation Award event by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Friday (28/11/2025).

Previously, Cirebon City also won a similar award in 2023. This achievement is proof of the Cirebon City Government’s consistency in strengthening public health programs and environmental quality.

Acting Regional Secretary of Cirebon City, Sumanto, said that this award was the result of the collaborative work of all parties.

“This award does not only belong to the government, but to the entire community. Cross-sector cooperation and active participation of citizens are the keys to our success,” he said.

In the award verification process, Cirebon City documents are examined based on 9 orders which become assessment indicators. These include healthy and independent community life, housing and public facilities, education, markets, tourism, transportation and orderly road traffic, offices and industry, social protection, and disaster prevention and management.

The verification results show the City of Cirebon’s commitment to harmonizing all these arrangements for the welfare of the community.
The Acting Regional Secretary said that it is hoped that this award will be a motivation for the Cirebon City Government to further strengthen public health programs, improve environmental quality, and strengthen cross-sector synergies.

“This is in line with the vision of forming a healthy, intelligent and prosperous society,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cirebon City Health Service, Siti Maria Listiawaty, emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving this award.

“Thanks to the support of all parties, including the community and various related agencies, we can achieve the Swasti Saba Wiwerda category. In 2027, we are confident that Cirebon City can achieve even higher achievements,” he said.

Siti Maria also emphasized that this award is not just a symbol, but a real reflection of a healthier society and a well-organized environment.

“This award shows that our efforts in building public awareness, improving sanitation and quality of life are effective,” he added.

The success of Cirebon City is good news for residents and also a motivation for other areas in Ciayumajakuning. Currently, Cirebon City is ranked the best in the Ciayumajakuning area and ranked 8th best in West Java. As a future target, the Cirebon City Government is preparing strategic steps to achieve the Swasti Saba Wistara category.
