Supervising Government Administration, Tia Fitriani Emphasizes the Importance of Early Detection of Cancer

DISTRICT. BANDUNG, Konntroversinews | Member of the West Java Province DPRD from the Nasdem Fraction, Dra. Hj. Tia Fitriani, carried out supervision activities on government administration for the 2025 fiscal year at the South Margahayu Village GOR, Monday (8/12). Apart from carrying out a monitoring function, this activity is also used to provide health education to the public, especially regarding the dangers of cancer and the importance of early detection as a preventive measure.

In her speech, Tia Fitriani expressed her appreciation to the village government for facilitating the implementation of activities very well. He explained that supervision in the government sector cannot be separated from aspects of public services, especially health. According to him, the increase in cancer cases in society is a serious concern that must be responded to through education, outreach and community empowerment.

In an effort to strengthen residents’ understanding, Tia presented a resource person from the West Java PPI DPD, Chair of the Health Sector who is also active in the West Java Indonesian Women’s Empowerment Corps. These resource persons are cancer survivors and volunteers who have accompanied and helped many patients, including providing basic needs, treatment information, and building support networks.

Tia emphasized that there are still many people who do not understand the early symptoms of cancer and often postpone examinations until their condition worsens. In fact, early detection is the most effective step to reduce risk and make treatment easier. He hopes that people will become more aware of the importance of routine check-ups, a healthy lifestyle, and avoiding trigger factors that are often not realized.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of South Margahayu Village, Ramadhani Akbar, expressed his gratitude for the presence of Tia Fitriani and the resource person who provided direct enlightenment to the residents. He said this activity was very useful and a valuable experience for the community, especially in increasing awareness and preparedness for cancer.

Ramadhani also hopes that health prevention programs like this can continue and be further expanded. He prayed that the entire series of activities would be good deeds as well as motivation for people to care more about maintaining their health.
