Chairman of the DPD Pekat IB and the Regent of Kuningan Visit the Houses of Cijoho Residents whose Roofs Have Collapsed

Kuningan, Konntroversinews | One of the residents’ houses in Cijoho Village, RT 08 RW 05, owned by Mrs. Nunung, experienced a collapse on the roof. This incident occurred due to the roof of the house being unable to support the load, triggered by continuous rain and the building being around 30 years old. The condition of the roof wood has also been eaten by termites.

Ibu Nunung is an elderly widow who lives with her son who has just graduated from SMK Negeri 3. Both of them do not have a fixed income. Until now, Mrs. Nunung has not received any social assistance from government programs.

According to the Head of RT 08, Yanyan, the application for assistance had actually been made before, but had not yet received approval (ACC). Currently, re-applications are being processed through the subdistrict office.

On Thursday, January 8 2026, at around 13.00 WIB, this condition received direct attention from the Regent of Kuningan, Dr. Dian Rachmat Yanuar, M.Si, together with the Chairman of DPD Pekat IB Kuningan Regency, Donny Sigakole. The two of them made a direct visit to the location of Mrs. Nunung’s house and had a dialogue to find a solution so that the house could be repaired immediately, considering that its condition was very dangerous and had the potential to collapse completely.

Also present during the visit were members of the Kuningan Regency DPRD from the Gerindra Sri Lailasari faction, Head of the Kuningan Regency BPBD, Head of the Housing Division of the Kuningan Regency DPKPP Service and staff, Cijoho Village Head and staff, Head of RT 08 and RW 05, Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas of Cijoho Village, representatives of the Cirebon Sultanate Raden Manaf and Senopati Rohim, as well as the local community.

From the results of the visit, it was agreed that repairs to the house would be carried out immediately by providing roofing materials in the form of light steel and spandex. The work process will be carried out independently by the local community. ***
