District Bandung | Controversynews- In an effort to reduce stunting rates and improve the quality of public health, the Bojongmalaka Village Government, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, has demonstrated its commitment through a Nutritious Food (MBG) distribution program for pregnant women (bumil) and breastfeeding mothers (busui).
The Head of Bojongmalaka Village, Dedi Dermawan, S.IP, was also present and directly monitored this activity which was carried out at a number of Posyandu, including Posyandu Nusa Indah RW 04, Posyandu Sekar Dahlia RW 05, and Posyandu Plamboyan RW 11, Bojongmalaka Village.
This activity was organized by the Bojongmalaka Village Government in collaboration with Posyandu cadres and the PKK Mobilization Team. This program is part of the national priority of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) which targets vulnerable groups, namely toddlers, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
Village Head Dedi Dermawan, S.IP, emphasized the importance of fulfilling nutritional intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding to ensure optimal growth and development of children from an early age.
“This MBG program is a form of joint commitment, from the central government to the villages, in creating a generation that is healthy and free of stunting. We hope that this assistance can ease the burden on mothers while ensuring that the nutritional needs of mothers and children are well met,” he said, Monday, January 12 2026.
Beneficiaries consisting of pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers receive MBG packages containing a complete food menu with high protein content, vegetables and fruit. All food is prepared hygienically by trained Posyandu cadres. This aid distribution is planned to take place regularly, twice a week, every Monday and Thursday, at the local Posyandu.
This activity received a positive response from the community. One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Iis (28), a resident of Kerenceng Village RT 01 RW 11 Bojongmalaka Village, expressed her appreciation for the village government’s attention.
“This assistance is very useful for us, especially to ensure good nutritional intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding,” he said.
With this MBG program, the Bojongmalaka Village Government is optimistic that it can reduce the stunting rate and create a healthier and more prosperous village community.
