CIREBON, Konntroversinews | The Cirebon City Government has again recorded proud achievements in the results of the Evaluation of Government Agency Performance Accountability (AKIP) and Evaluation of the Implementation of Bureaucratic Reform (RB) in 2025.
Based on the Evaluation Results Report (LHE) of the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), the Cirebon City Government succeeded in obtaining a Bureaucratic Reform Index of 85.14 in the A– (Satisfactory) category, an increase of 11.23 points from the previous year which obtained a score of 73.91 in the BB (Very Good) category.
Apart from that, the Cirebon City AKIP score also increased significantly, from 69.04 (category B) to 73.96 (category BB) this year. This increase reflects the seriousness of all regional apparatus in strengthening clean, transparent and results-oriented governance.
The Mayor of Cirebon, Effendi Edo, who was directly present at the Submission of Performance Accountability Evaluation Results, Evaluation of the Implementation of Bureaucratic Reform, and Providing Support for Internal Supervision Management in 2025, expressed his appreciation for the hard work of all regional officials, at City Hall, Monday (20/10/2025).
“This achievement is not just a number, but concrete evidence that bureaucratic reform in the City of Cirebon has gone on the right track. I express my highest appreciation to the Regional Secretariat, Regional Inspectorate and Organizational Section who have played an active role in guiding all regional apparatus,” said the Mayor.
He emphasized that performance evaluation is not an annual ceremonial agenda, but rather a reflection of commitment to a clean, accountable and public service-oriented government.
“We are entering the final phase of the Grand Design for Bureaucratic Reform 2010-2025 and are preparing to welcome the Grand Design for National Bureaucratic Reform 2025-2045. Our vision is to create a bureaucracy that is collaborative, capable and has integrity, towards a world-class bureaucracy that supports national development,” explained the Mayor.
Furthermore, he reminded all regional officials not only to focus on increasing the index value, but also to bring about changes that are felt directly by the community.
“The Bureaucratic Reform Index and SAKIP should not stop at numbers. The true measure of success is in the impact felt by society, both through improving the quality of public services, accelerating the digital transformation of the bureaucracy, and strengthening the internal monitoring function,” he stressed.
The Mayor also emphasized the importance of synergy across regional apparatus to strengthen data and technology-based governance. According to him, an integrated digital system will facilitate coordination and speed up more efficient and transparent policy making.
“Bureaucratic reform is a change in work culture and value system. This is not an administrative burden, but a path to a government that is adaptive, responsive and trusted by the people,” he added.
Closing his remarks, the Mayor invited all ASN levels within the Cirebon City Government to use this achievement as motivation in realizing an increasingly open, accountable and innovative government.
“Let’s continue to move forward together, organizing a bureaucracy that is professional and has integrity for the progress of the City of Cirebon that we love,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Cirebon City Regional Inspector, Asep Gina Muharam, explained that the increase in the reform and accountability index was the result of collaboration between all regional officials in following up on recommendations from previous years.
“In general, the evaluation results show that the Cirebon City Government has demonstrated a strong commitment to implementing bureaucratic reform, both at the regional government level as a whole and at the regional apparatus level,” said Asep Gina.
He added, based on the results of the 2025 AKIP evaluation, there are nine recommendations that need to be followed up immediately. Apart from that, there are still three recommendations from the evaluation results of the PANRB Ministry in 2024 and five recommendations from the Inspectorate in 2024 which have not been fully completed.
“This recommendation is not a form of deficiency, but rather an opportunity for improvement. The Inspectorate is committed to being a strategic partner for regional officials in improving governance and the effectiveness of internal supervision,” he explained. (Susmiati)
