Cirebon Regency DPUTR Channel Project in Mundu Allegedly Corrupted

Cirebon, Konntroversinews | The drainage project work on Jalan Mundu–Pamengkang, Mundu District, Cirebon Regency, was allegedly carried out not according to technical specifications. It is known that the project does not use a ground floor (lean concrete), which is the main foundation standard so that the drainage construction is sturdy and long-lasting.

Monitoring by media crew at the location showed indications of fraud in project implementation. The approximately 40 meter long drainage channel appears to have been built without the installation of a ground floor, so it has the potential to quickly become damaged due to the lack of an adequate foundation.

When the media crew tried to ask for information from the implementer in the field, a worker said, “There’s no foreman, just go straight to the implementer with the initials M,” he said. When the media crew then tried to confirm M via WhatsApp message, he only answered briefly, “Who is this?” (Wednesday, 22/10/2025).

With these findings, the media team will ask for clarification from the Cirebon Regency PUTR Service, especially the Highways Sector, as well as from the project implementer, namely CV Bungsu Putra Karya. This is to encourage a technical audit to be carried out by the Cirebon Regency Inspectorate, so that the project truly meets standards and does not cause potential state losses.
