To ensure it is conducive, Brebes Police Deploys Dozens of Personnel at the Football Tournament

BREBES, Kontoversinews | The Brebes Police deployed dozens of personnel to secure the 2025 Terlangu Open football tournament which was held on the field in Terlangu Village, Brebes District, Brebes Regency.

This security is carried out to ensure that activities run smoothly, in an orderly manner and uphold sportsmanship between teams.

Brebes Police Chief, AKBP Lilik Ardhiansyah, through Brebes Police Chief AKP Prapto, stated that this security was a form of Polri’s commitment to maintaining security in every community activity. “We have placed personnel at several strategic points, both inside and outside the field. The aim is to anticipate potential friction between supporters and players,” said AKP Prapto, Monday (13/10)

A total of 40 joint personnel from the Samapta, Intelkam and local police units were alerted from the start of the tournament. They are on duty, monitoring the audience area, and carrying out patrols around the location.

“So far, the match has been safe and conducive. We thank all parties involved, especially the supporters who have shown a mature attitude by supporting their favorite team peacefully,” added Prapto.

The Terlangu Open tournament, which has been held since September 16 2025, was attended by 32 teams from various villages in the Brebes area.

AKP Prapto added that it is hoped that this event will not only be entertainment, but also a means to strengthen ties between communities. “Security will continue until the final match is over,” he concluded. (Soleh)
