Cirebon City Inflation Achievement Maintained, TPID Strengthens Regional Synergy at HLM Ciayumajakuning

Bandung, Controversy news, Com. – The Cirebon City Government recorded stable inflation achievements throughout 2025. Based on the latest data, Cirebon City inflation was at the level of 0.32% (mtm) in October 2025 and 2.27% (ytd), still within the national target range of 2.5% ± 1%. This condition is an important foundation for price control towards the end of the year.

Deputy Mayor of Cirebon, Siti Farida Rosmawati, said that inflation stability cannot be separated from strengthening coordination and sustainable price control programs. This was conveyed by the Deputy Mayor at the High Level Meeting (HLM) and Capacity Building activities of TPID Ciayumajakuning which took place in Bandung, Wednesday (19/11/2025).

“Cirebon City’s inflation achievements show that the control measures we are implementing are on the right track. The regional government, TPID, and all stakeholders continue to work together to maintain supply and price affordability,” he said.

He explained that the Cirebon City TPID had prepared a Road Map for Controlling Inflation 2025–2027, which was now entering the finalization stage by the Legal Section of the Regional Secretariat. The City Government also continues to strengthen synergies with the central government and other regions, including through nine concrete steps to control inflation and cross-regional collaboration.

A number of programs that have been implemented include the Cheap Food Movement (GPM), Klemprakan UKM Mall, Mobile Cheap Market, as well as distribution of OPADI to West Java Province and food aid from the Central Government. The Cirebon City Government also carries out routine inspections at traditional markets and modern retail to monitor prices and stock availability.

In addition, through DKP3, the City Government prepared 34,729 kg of Regional Government Food Reserves (CPPD) and encouraged urban farming, including the use of perennial land for planting chilies as well as planting movements by the Women’s Farmers Group (KWT).

Efforts to strengthen food security are also realized through the Gapura Pangan Program, which expands the food supply network through collaboration between business actors across regions. This cooperation is strengthened by a legal basis through Mayor Regulation no. 26 of 2025, while also opening up space for Inter-Regional Cooperation (KAD) with producers from various regions.

Cirebon City TPID is also committed to strengthening program reporting and evaluation as part of preparations for the 2025 TPID Award. The City Government will also continue to encourage inter-regional collaboration, strengthen the role of food BUMDs, and ensure that price control strategies run effectively until the end of the year.

On the same occasion, the Head of Bank Indonesia Cirebon Representative, Jajang Hermawan, expressed his appreciation for TPID Ciayumajakuning’s consistency in maintaining inflation stability throughout 2025.

“Cross-regional coordination is the key to our success in managing inflationary pressure amidst uncertain supply dynamics and weather. Inflation achievements in Cirebon and Majalengka show quite good performance,” said Jajang.

He emphasized that inflation in Cirebon City and Majalengka Regency in October 2025 will be at 0.32% and 0.34% (mtm), respectively, with annual inflation of 2.90% and 2.99% (yoy). Both regions are still within the national target range and reflect effective price control.

Until October 2025, more than 230 price control activities have been carried out such as GPM, market operations, cheap bazaars, and SPHP. Bank Indonesia is also encouraging the acceleration of the Ciayumajakuning Food Balance Study to strengthen supply chain mapping and KAD implementation. Approaching the Religious and National Holidays (HBKN) period, Jajang emphasized the importance of supply readiness and early mitigation.

“Inflation stability is the foundation of social welfare. With the synergy that has been built, I am confident that TPID Ciayumajakuning will be able to answer the challenges of controlling inflation in the future,” he added.
