Cirebon City Police Precinct secure thousands of illegal drugs from a farmer

Cirebon, Controversinews | The Cirebon City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit again dismantled the circulation of pharmaceutical preparations without a distribution permit. A man with the initials SM (40), a resident of Jagapura Lor Village, Gegesik District, Cirebon Regency, who works as a farmer daily, was secured on Wednesday (9/17/2025).

The arrest took place around 11.00 WIB in the parking area of ​​Ruko Permata Hijau, Jalan Brigadier General Dharsono, Sunyaragi, Kesambi District, Cirebon City. The location is allegedly often used as a place for transactions for illegal drugs.

From the hands of the suspect, the police confiscated evidence in the form of 1,000 grains of Tramadol, 500 Trihexyphenidyl, and 1,035 dextro. In addition, also secured a mobile phone unit, Rp400 thousand in cash from the sale, as well as a black Honda Beat motorcycle.

Cirebon City Police Narcotics Detective Unit, AKP Otong Jubaedi, SH, MAP, said that this disclosure began with reports from the community which was then followed up with an investigation. “We have named the perpetrators as suspects after the case title. Currently the person concerned is undergoing an intensive examination,” he said.

The police are still developing this case to reveal the possibility of other networks involved in the distribution of these dangerous drugs.

For his actions, the suspect was charged under Article 435 in conjunction with Article 436 paragraph (2) of RI Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, with severe criminal threats.
