Cirebon City, Kontroversinews,Com.– The Cirebon City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit has again carried out a Liquor Operation through the Ops Liquor Picket function as a crackdown on the distribution of illegal alcohol which is considered to have the potential to cause social impacts and disruption of public order in the Cirebon City area, Thursday afternoon (15/01/2026).
The operation was carried out at around 17.00 WIB until it was completed by targeting points suspected of being locations for selling liquor without a permit based on monitoring results and information gathered by officers.
This Ops Liquor operation was carried out by personnel from Unit 1 of the Cirebon City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit who carried out selective inspections in the Kesambi District area.
During the activity, officers inspected a shop on the side of Jalan Brigjendarsono, Kesambi District, Cirebon City, which was suspected of selling liquor without an official permit.
From this location, officers managed to secure evidence in the form of 35 bottles of Ciu liquor which were being kept for sale.
The shop owner with the initials R (lk), a resident of Kesambi District, Cirebon City, is also collecting data for the purposes of further handling processes in accordance with applicable regulations.
The total evidence of liquor that was successfully secured during the Ops Liquor activities amounted to 35 bottles and were then taken to the Cirebon City Police for further administration and law enforcement processes.
Head of the Cirebon City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKP Shindi Al-Afghany, SH, MH, MM, explained that this liquor operation was part of the police’s ongoing efforts to suppress the circulation of illegal alcohol which often triggers crime and social problems in the community.
According to AKP Shindi Al-Afghany, distributing liquor without a permit not only violates the law, but also has a direct impact on environmental security, so the Narcotics Unit will continue to carry out similar operations routinely and continuously.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Cirebon City Police, AKP M. Aris Hermanto, appealed to the public not to get involved in the circulation or consumption of illegal liquor, and invited residents to play an active role in providing information to the police via Call Center 110, WhatsApp Report Police Chief Bae, or WhatsApp Team Maung Presisi 851 if they become aware of unauthorized alcohol sales activities in the surrounding area.
