FKGOL: The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission’s Red and White Team Always Makes Surprises in Its Operations

Kuningan, Konntroversinews | Throughout 2025, a number of public officials were again caught in the sting operation (OTT) carried out by the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Not only regional heads, law enforcement officials were also involved. This condition is considered a strong signal of the seriousness of President Prabowo Subianto’s government in eradicating criminal acts of corruption.

Responding to this, the Joint Communication Forum of Mass Organizations and NGOs (FKGOL) through the Chair of Barak, Kang Nana Rusdiana, S.IP, said that the KPK’s steps were a positive sign for law enforcement in Indonesia.

“This is a good signal that the Prabowo government is no longer playing around in eradicating criminal acts of corruption. Many ministry officials, political parties, regional heads, and even law enforcement officers have been arrested by the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Committee,” said Kang Nana.

He hopes that similar conditions will not occur in Kuningan Regency. According to him, there is a number of information related to cases in Kuningan which are said to be of concern and monitoring by the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Committee.

“We hope that public officials in Kuningan will not play around with cases of criminal acts of corruption, gratification for positions or projects. If the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) operation is caught, the impact will be a big storm for their personal status, family and the image of Kuningan Regency which will certainly cause a stir,” he stressed.

A similar statement was conveyed by Bang Boy Paku Mas. He emphasized his hope that no Kuningan public officials would be caught in the RI KPK’s OTT, whether related to corruption, gratification, extortion, buying and selling positions, or the project mafia.

“All of this must be used as material for analysis and self-introspection by Kuningan officials in carrying out the mandate of their office,” he said.

He also reminded me of the old saying, “No matter how clever a squirrel jumps, it will surely fall one day. And no matter how neatly the carcass is hidden, the smell will definitely be smelled.”

According to Bang Boy, information received by FKGOL regarding the existence of several casuistries in Kuningan which have come to the attention of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must be taken as a serious warning, and should not be considered trivial.

“Don’t let the chaff ball explode and cause Kuningan to become excited. The WTP predicate which has been achieved up to nine times, even though there was a failure to pay and in 2024 it dropped to WDP, must be a serious concern. Moreover, there are signals indicating volume II failure to pay in 2025,” he explained.

FKGOL hopes that policy makers in Kuningan Regency will be truly careful and responsible in managing the budget and authority.

“We have high hopes that no Kuningan public official will be caught in the RI KPK’s silent operation. Because KPK operations always come unexpectedly and often provide big surprises that shock the Indonesian people,” he concluded. ***
