DENPASAR, Konntroversinews | The management of the Bali Province Indonesian Convergence Media Association (AMKI) was officially formed for the next five years, 2026-2031. In fact, this management has obtained the Central AMKI Decree Number: 007/SK AMKI-Prov/PP/II/2026 dated 10 February 2026 which was signed directly by the General Chairperson Ir. Tundra Meliala, MM, GRCE and Secretary General Dadang Rachmat, SH.
The formation of the AMKI Bali management is part of strengthening the organizational structure in the region to support the vision and mission of Central AMKI in building a professional, convergent and competitive media ecosystem.
In the management structure, IGMB Dwikora Putra, who was elected by acclamation at the members’ meeting on January 31 2026 as Chair of AMKI Bali Province for the 2026–2031 period, will lead the management along with Secretary I Made Arnyana and Treasurer K. Andiawan. This management is supported by a number of strategic areas, including organization and membership, research and development, education, cooperation and partnerships, welfare, law and advocacy, digital technology and cyber media, public relations, and secretariat (for details, see box).
AMKI Bali Chairman Dwikora Putra expressed his commitment to making AMKI Bali a forum for cross-platform media collaboration—print, electronic, online and multimedia—in facing the challenges of digital transformation, technological disruption, and the dynamics of press industry regulations.
“AMKI Bali will encourage strengthening the capacity of media human resources, building strategic partnerships with the government and the private sector, and fighting for a healthy and sustainable media business climate in Bali,” said the Chief Editor of the WARTA BALI Daily at the Warta Bali Office, Jalan Kepundung 61 B Denpasar, Friday (20/2).
The chairman of PWI Bali for the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 periods hopes that the formation of the Bali Province AMKI management will be able to strengthen solidarity between media industry players in the region, increase professionalism, and make a real contribution to regional and national development through the presentation of quality and responsible information.
Over the next five years, continued the former Deputy Chair for Central PWI Education and now Chair of the Bali PWI Provincial Honorary Council (2025-2030), in line with Central AMKI — Bali AMKI will focus work programs on:
First, strengthening cross-platform media organizations and membership; Second, digitalization training and competency improvement; Third, policy advocacy that supports press freedom and the sustainability of the media industry; Fourth, developing strategic partnerships with government agencies, TNI-Polri, and the private sector; and Fifth, increasing media literacy and contributing to a healthy information ecosystem.
“With the formation of this management, AMKI Bali is optimistic that it can become a strategic partner for the regional government and all stakeholders in encouraging the growth of a media industry that is adaptive, innovative and has integrity,” said Dwikora Putra, who also managed SMSI Bali in 2017 and was appointed as Chair of the Advisory Board for the 2017-2022 period. ***
