Jagara Village Wins First Place in the 2025 National Archipelago Tourism Village Competition

Kuningan, Konntroversinews | Jagara Village, Darma District, Kuningan Regency, won first place in the 2025 National Archipelago Tourism Village Competition (LDWN).

Jagara Village came out as first winner in Category II: Advanced and Independent Village, based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Village and Rural Development Number 04/PDP.00/XI/2025 dated November 5 2025.

On Thursday, November 13 2025, the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regions Development (Kemendes PDT) through the Directorate General of PDP officially announced the results of four National Level Village Innovation events in 2025.

In this event, Jagara Village was ranked first in LDWN, together with Melung Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

PDT Village Minister, Yandri Susanto, emphasized that this competition is not just a competition, but a joint movement to strengthen village independence and creativity in various fields of development.

“Through this competition, it can be seen that villages are not objects of development, but rather subjects that are capable of generating solutions, ideas and inspiration for the nation,” he said.

Furthermore, PDP Director General Nugroho Setijo Nagoro said that the four competitions went through an objective, transparent and comprehensive assessment process.

“We assess not only the results, but also the process and impact. Sustainable innovation, community participation, and contribution to the welfare of citizens are the main factors in determining the winners,” he explained.

He added, through this competition the Ministry of Villages wants to build a joint learning ecosystem between villages, so that good practices from one region can inspire other regions and give birth to a collaborative movement to develop Indonesia from the villages.

The Ministry of Villages PDT is committed to continuing support for innovative villages through mentoring, training and expanding market access programs. It is hoped that the results of all competitions will become a national inspiration in strengthening villages as the axis of sustainable development.

The winners will be invited to the Village Day event on January 15 2026 in Boyolali Regency, Central Java.

The Directorate General of Village and Rural Development also expressed its highest congratulations and appreciation to the Jagara Village Government (Pemdes) and the entire community for successfully managing the village’s potential to become an innovative, competitive and sustainable tourist destination. ***
