Mayor of Cirebon Inaugurates Four Community Health Center Buildings and Signs Strategic MoU

​CIREBON, Kontroversinews,Com.– The Cirebon City Government has officially strengthened public health infrastructure through the inauguration of a number of major health facilities. This agenda was marked by the inauguration of the new Gunungsari Community Health Center building and the completion of the renovation of three other community health centers, namely the Kalijaga Permai, Pekalangan and North Perumnas Community Health Centers, Wednesday (31/12/2025).

The Mayor of Cirebon, Effendi Edo, stated that health is the main prerequisite for developing superior human resources in the City of Cirebon.

He emphasized that without good health insurance, it is impossible to achieve maximum community productivity.

​”The Cirebon City Government continues to be committed to improving the quality of first-level health facilities which are the spearhead of public services for the wider community,” said the Mayor in his speech.

​Furthermore, the Mayor emphasized that the construction of this new building is clear evidence of the government responding to the aspirations of residents who need proper and modern health facilities. He reminded that the splendor of this physical building must be balanced with the quality of service which is much better than before.

​”I no longer want to hear complaints about complicated procedures or a lack of empathy in serving residents, the new building must be followed by operational standards that are faster, friendlier and more professional,” he stressed.

​Regarding collaboration with BPJS Health, the Mayor considers this to be a strategic step to ensure that government laboratory services can be accessed equally by all health insurance participants.

This synergy is expected to be a real manifestation of the government’s presence in providing comprehensive health protection for citizens.

​”I hope that this collaboration will run transparently and accountably, so that people truly experience easy access to every health service they need,” he explained.

​At the end of his speech, the Mayor left a message to all levels of society to work together to protect and care for the health assets that have been built.

“Hopefully this inauguration will be a new starting point for improving the integrity of health services in Cirebon City in 2026,” he hoped.

​Head of the Cirebon City Health Service, Siti Maria Listiyawati, in her report said that improving health infrastructure is part of a strategic road map to meet modern medical service standards for city residents.

He emphasized that the physical improvement of this building was based on the urgent need for more representative service space in densely populated areas.

​”We ​​ensure that this construction and renovation meets national medical standards, from air circulation to the arrangement of waiting rooms, to provide a sense of security and comfort for both patients and medical personnel on duty,” he said.

​In addition to the physical inauguration, Kadinkes also reported the signing of a joint agreement (MOU) between the Cirebon City Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda) and BPJS Health.

“This step is intended to expand the reach of laboratory services so that they are more integrated with the national health insurance system,” he concluded.
