Reflecting on One Year of Service by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Cirebon City Government is Ready to Continue Development

Cirebon, Konntroversinews | The Cirebon City Government held a Breaking of the Fast together to celebrate the One Year Service Period of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Cirebon City for the period 2025-2030 in the Lobby of the Cirebon City Regional Secretariat Building, Thursday (19/2/2026).

This momentum is not just a ceremonial agenda, but a space for reflection on the efforts of the last year in developing the City of Cirebon. In front of regional officials, community leaders and members of the press, the Mayor of Cirebon expressed his gratitude for the solidity of the team and the support of various parties who continue to strengthen the running of government.

​In his speech, the Mayor specifically expressed his appreciation to those closest to him and all his staff. He realized that change in Cirebon City would not be possible without moral support and collective hard work in the field.

​”Exactly this year, I would like to say a lot of thanks, especially to my wife and all my colleagues who have struggled to carry out the things that the community wants. Thank God, in the past year we have tried to provide real services for the residents. Thank you very much for your dedication,” said the Mayor in an emotional tone.

​Even though there are many achievements, the Mayor humbly admits that this year’s journey has not been perfect. He realizes that there are still community expectations that may not have been fully met or policies that require further evaluation for the common good.

​”I apologize if in leading this past year there were still many shortcomings and things that needed to be corrected. As an ordinary human being, I am aware of these limitations. However, I assure you that I will continue to fight endlessly to raise the city of Cirebon to be more advanced and prosperous,” he continued.

​Furthermore, the Mayor also highlighted the importance of bureaucratic reform and accelerating development. He invited all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) not to become complacent, considering that there are still many challenges in the remaining four years of his term of office with the Deputy Mayor, Siti Farida Rosmawati.

​”Once again I apologize and thank my friends who have struggled to change the conditions of our bureaucracy and development. Going forward, Mrs. Farida and I urge everyone to remain enthusiastic. We are building Cirebon City not only for us now, but for our children and grandchildren in the future,” he stressed.

​The strong message conveyed at the meeting was about sustainability. The Mayor emphasized that a leader’s success is not seen from what he currently enjoys, but from what he leaves for future generations after his term of office ends.

​”Last year’s steps are fuel for our enthusiasm. Don’t be discouraged, don’t give up hope, we can do it. Let’s stay together and help each other. Because what we can inherit later is not wealth or wealth, but the condition of a developed city and prosperous people,” concluded the Mayor, ending his speech.

​The event then continued with joint prayer and friendly gatherings when the Maghrib call to prayer sounded. It is hoped that this moment of one year of service will be a starting point for the Cirebon City Government to run faster in serving the community in the years to come. ***
