Village Secretary ‘Allergic’ to Journalists, Allegations of Deviation of Village Funds Strengthen

District Sumedang, Konntroversinews | Village Secretary (Sekdes) Legok Kaler, Paseh District, Sumedang Regency, is said to be reluctant to provide confirmation regarding the use of Village Funds (DD) for the 2024 Fiscal Year.

Confirmation efforts were made by media crew who visited the Legok Kaler Village office on Monday (08/12/2025) together with several fellow journalists. This arrival was received directly by the Village Secretary, but the person concerned was unable to provide answers regarding the 2024 APBDes and instead directed questions to the Village Head. Until this news was published, the Village Head had not yet responded.

The Village Secretary’s attitude gave rise to allegations that there was an indication of a lack of transparency in the management of village funds.

Previously, the public had also highlighted the use of Village Funds in Legok Kaler Village which was considered not transparent. This is reinforced by the absence of APBDes banners as a form of public information regarding the allocation and use of the village budget.

A resident and social observer assessed that the Village Secretary’s attitude when confirmed showed dislike for the presence of media crew.

“When confirmed regarding the regulations for the use of the 2024 APBDes, the Village Secretary seemed allergic to journalists. This attitude gave rise to allegations of irregularities in the realization of village funds, both physical and non-physical, which could potentially harm state finances,” he said.

He hopes that the Inspectorate and State Prosecutor’s Office will immediately step in to carry out an inspection of the management of Village Funds in Legok Kaler Village, Paseh District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. ***
