CIREBON CITY, Konntroversinews | Right on the anniversary of National Press Day 2026, at the Cirebon Regent’s Hall, Monday (08/02/2026), the management of the Greater Cirebon Indonesian Media Convergence Association (AMKI) was officially inaugurated.
AMKI’s presence is not only aimed at sheltering mass media people, but also as a forum for content creators who are currently growing rapidly in the region.
As part of its commitment, AMKI plans to facilitate its members to take part in a nationally recognized certification process. For journalists, certification will be carried out through the Journalist Competency Test (UKW), while for content creators it will be through the Content Creator Professional Certification (SPCC), both of which are managed by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
The General Chairperson of Central AMKI, Tundra Meliala, said that this organization will carry out a series of special training and competency tests for influencers and content creators on social media. According to him, this step is part of AMKI’s efforts to reach groups that have not been optimally accommodated by similar organizations.
“AMKI has a different identity from other organizations. We see that technological developments cannot be separated from the role of content creators, and now many cities have already recognized their role. Currently there are lots of content creators taking part, but they need to be given basic understanding and official certification from BNSP which we have prepared thoroughly,” said Tundra.
He emphasized that it is time for content creators to have formal recognition through certification, not just act without clear standardization. According to him, there is a fundamental difference between certification for content creators and certification for journalists.
“Certification for influencers and content creators does not have career levels like UKW which has three levels, namely Junior, Intermediate and Primary,” he explained.
Tundra also highlighted that quite a few journalists also have personal content on social media, but there are still many who do not understand the rules for creating content that is correct, safe and does not harm other parties. He emphasized that content created with due regard to regulations will receive protection from the state.
“We want to ensure that both journalists and content creators have a correct understanding of ethics, law and quality standards in presenting information or content. This is not only to maintain the credibility of each individual, but also to make a positive contribution to the development of the media and creative industry in Indonesia,” he added.
Chairman of AMKI West Java, Catur Azi, appreciated Rudi’s election as chairman. He emphasized that converged media has an important role in integrating various communication platforms, while providing information that is fast, accurate and useful for the public.
“AMKI’s role is very important in encouraging media to remain relevant amidst technological changes,” he stressed.
Great hopes are placed on the new management of AMKI Cirebon Raya to continue to educate the public about the importance of quality media, maintaining independence and upholding journalistic ethics. The new management is also expected to be able to fight for members’ interests, improve media quality and expand cooperation networks.
Chairman of AMKI Cirebon Raya, Rudi emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration. According to him, AMKI must be able to become a bridge between conventional media and digital media, as well as building constructive synergies with the government, business world and society.
“AMKI must become a forum that connects conventional and digital media, and strengthens synergy with the government and society. With solid collaboration, we can make a positive contribution to nation development,” he said.
In the 100 working day agenda, Rudi emphasized his commitment to building strategic cooperation with government agencies and the private sector. This step is expected to be able to strengthen the position of AMKI member media, both in terms of professionalism, capacity and sustainability of the media business. (Baim).
