H. Omas Ali Nurdin Elected as Chair of the Bandung Regency PPSI DPD for the 2026–2031 Period

District Bandung, Konntroversinews | H. Omas Ali Nurdin, who is familiarly called Haji Ali, was elected as Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (DPD PPSI) Bandung Regency for the period 2026–2031. He was elected after being far ahead of the two other presidential candidates.

The election took place through a fairly tough voting system in the 2026 DPD PPSI Bandung Regency Regional Conference (Konferda), which was held at the Kodim Hall 0624/Bandung Regency, Jatisari Village, Kutawaringin District, Saturday (10/2/2026).

In this voting, candidate number 1, H. Omas Ali Nurdin, managed to get the most votes out of a total of three candidates competing.

After the votes were counted and officially declared the winner, Haji Ali expressed his gratitude and admitted that he did not expect to be elected, considering that the other candidates were figures who had good names among pencak silat people and the people of Bandung Regency.

“Thank God, the 2026 Bandung Regency PPSI Conference ran smoothly and successfully. Thank you to all colleagues who participated and contributed so that this activity could be held well,” he said.

He emphasized his commitment to embrace all parties, both those who support and those who do not support him in the election process, for the sake of the progress of pencak silat in Bandung Regency.

“The elections are over. Let us unite our determination and togetherness to advance pencak silat, both in Indonesia in general and in Bandung Regency in particular,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bandung, Dadang Supriatna, represented by the Head of the Bandung Regency Culture Service, Irvan Ahmad, SE, MM, appreciated the implementation of the 2026 Bandung Regency DPD PPSI Conference which took place smoothly without any obstacles.

“We appreciate the implementation of the 2026 Bandung Regency DPD PPSI Conference which ran in an orderly and conducive manner,” he said.

He hopes that PPSI Bandung Regency will continue to develop and be able to contribute optimally in advancing and preserving pencak silat in Bandung Regency. ***
