CIREBON CITY, (Konntroversinews), – Mayor of Cirebon, Effendi Edo, symbolically handed over excerpts of the Decree (SK) for Government Employees with Part-Time Work Agreements (PPPK) for 2025 in the courtyard of Cirebon City Hall, Thursday (30/10/2025). This handover is not just an administrative formality, but is a real recognition of dedication and service.
“Thank you for your dedication and loyalty, all of you. Hopefully this new status will be the beginning of a better, more prosperous and more meaningful working life for the community. This is not the end point, our job is to continue serving the community with integrity, heart and professionalism,” said the Mayor in his speech.
He emphasized that every employee, no matter how small their task, has an important role in reflecting the friendly, clean and trustworthy face of the Cirebon City bureaucracy.
Based on a report from the Head of BKPSDM Cirebon City, Sri Lakshmi Stanyawati, 1,576 employees received part-time PPPK decrees. The Mayor emphasized that this policy is part of national bureaucratic reform which demands that government HR management be more open, adaptive and professional.
“I hope that you all see this change in status as a starting point for more definite service, with a big responsibility to continue to improve public services and work with pride,” he added.
The Cirebon City Government is committed to accompanying employees during this transition period. BKPSDM together with related regional apparatus will ensure that rights, coaching and performance assessments run according to regulations.
The Mayor also sent a message to all heads of regional apparatus so that the bureaucracy is not just an orderly administration, but lives by the values of fair and meaningful public services. The Mayor also highlighted the importance of a spirit of continuous learning.
“This new status provides certainty, but what is more important is how you continue to develop your abilities, improve the quality of service, and spread benefits to the community. Every interaction with residents is an opportunity to show our professionalism and dedication,” he explained.
The Mayor added that legal recognition of the service of these employees is proof that the Cirebon City Government is serious about giving awards to those who work. He encouraged all employees to interpret each task as a real form of community service.
“If each individual works seriously and wholeheartedly, then public services will be more friendly, responsive and dignified,” he said.
The Mayor invited all levels of local government to work together to maintain public trust. “To all heads of regional apparatus, let’s ensure that our bureaucracy does not only look orderly on paper, but is truly alive, service-oriented, and provides benefits to all the people of Cirebon City,” he hoped.
